FAQ about crosslife

frequentlyaskedquestions

  • If God has so much love, why all the hate and war in the world?
  • Hate and war in the world is a direct result of man's sin and disobedience to what God says. The Bible says that "God is love" and that "God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only Son (Jesus)" - so yes God is love, but His love has to be received.

  • Am I kidding myself if I think that “I’m a good person” when I don’t know Jesus as my own saviour?
  • YES. We have all broken the 10 commandments of God at one time or another. God is not only loving but JUST. Crimes must be punished to be fair to all. The love of God is shown to those who know that they are not “good” by their own effort. God sent is Son Jesus to take the punishment for our disobedience so that God could justly forgive us. We are asked to be sorry for the things that we have done that we know were wrong and to believe that Jesus is God’s son who died in our place. Jesus rose from the dead by the hand of God the Father to show that Jesus has successfully satisfied the justice of God on our behalf.

  • The Bible says "All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory". The core problem with our life is sin - wrong living against God. Receiving Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life will remove that feeling of being dirty, and you will know, without a doubt, that your life has been made clean and holy. When we receive Jesus as our Lord, God comes into our life by the power of the Holy Spirit, who comforts and strengthens us.

  • Does God want all my money?
  • Because God created the world, He actually owns everything in it. The Bible says "Honour the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything your land produces". Neither the church or God wants all of your money; there are some great principles of faith that God will bless as we obey Him with our income and our possessions.

  • Yes, otherwise you won't grow in God. The Bible says "Some people have got out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other". • The most important decision of your life is as straightforward as ABCD. Acknowledge that you are a sinner, and that without God's mercy, shown in His Son Jesus, you would remain a sinner. Believe in your heart that God wants to forgive you, and to give you a brand new life in Him. Confess with your mouth that you are a sinner, admit you have lived a sinful life, and you are sorry, and that you would like Jesus Christ to come into your heart and make you a new person by forgiving you of all your sin. Decide that you will follow Jesus Christ completely. Obey God by being baptised in water, and dedicate every part of your life to Him.
