Have this testimony that “YOU HAVE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE Lord JESUS”
The Power of a Righteous Testimony
This time we are going to look at the phrase “The Power of a Righteous Testimony”.
RIGHTEOUS TODAY HAS 2 MEANING S

In this message The Term Righteous will have a double meaning.
1. The biblical sense of righteousness and Holiness as unto the Lord Jesus.
2. The modern day use of the word righteous as in true “he was a righteous Brother – he was a righteous friend.
The power of a righteous testimony comes to light as we look at the King James Bible phrase “wholly followed the Lord”
We need to turn to the Numbers 32:13.
[KJV] Numbers 32:11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
We pick up the story when the children of Rueben and Gad decide that they would like to take their inheritance on the other side of the river Jordan and not wait for an inheritance in the land of Canaan.
They’d been in a couple of battles they had found that the whole district was fantastic cattle raising country and they felt that this would be a great and wonderful inheritance.
They approach Moses and ask if they can have their inheritance on the side of Jordan that they were on before they all cross over into Canaan.
Moses immediately hits the roof. It had been the reluctance of them 40 years earlier to go over Jordan into Canaan that had caused the death of everyone in the camp who was over the age of 20, except for Caleb and Joshua.
It took 40 years of wandering about and people dying off for everyone over the age of 20, from the time of the spies came back with a bad report, to die.
The Bible says that they are carcasses fail in the wilderness.
Moses is very agitated and annoyed.
He reminds them of this and he also reminds them of the two men who survived.
Moses also understands that he will not be crossing over Jordan.
Moses says that these two men, the only 2 people over 20 at the time, have a testimony and that testimony is that “for they have wholly followed the Lord”.
Moses says that evryone else di not have the testominy that they had wholly followed to LORD.
In the following scriptures we see this phrase repeated whenever the names of these 2 men come up.
This is the word of God speaks to reminds us of these two men.
The tribes who want to stay on the other side of Jordan have to agree to arm men in the army and march and fight with the rest of the Israelites until all the tribes have got their inheritance and have conquered the promised land.
They agreed to do this so they build shelters for their families and their livestock and then their armed men, their fighting men, will crossover Jordan with the rest of the children of Israel.
[KJV] Numbers 32:20
And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,
There is no doubt that we are in a spiritual war.
It is time for us to have the testimony that we have wholly followed the Lord and that we will go armed before the Lord to war.
The forces of darkness have people chained in the imprisonment of unbelief and we are sent to make disciples of them and bring them out of darkness into light.
[KJV] Numbers 32:12
Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.
[KJV] Deuteronomy 1:36
Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.
[KJV] Joshua 14:8
Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.
[KJV] Joshua 14:9
And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.
[KJV] Joshua 14:14
Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.

So let us wholly follow the Lord
Let us equip ourselves for this warfare and get our names written in the book of the wars Lord new testament style.
[KJV] Numbers 21:14
Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,
Let us get to the point where we can look back on the end of the day and say “I have wholly followed the Lord today”.
Even better yet to end up in a week to be able to say I have wholly followed the Lord.
This is not an empty dream it is entirely possible.
So let’s stir ourselves.
Now whatever you do don’t draw back and don’t be like the children of Israel.
Don’t let your heart get discouraged and don’t let your brethren or indeed any brother, preacher or anybody else discourage you from this in any way
[KJV] Deuteronomy 1:28
Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.
FAITH & BELIEF
Whatever you do, don’t have unbelief. Don’t be like them.
[KJV] Deuteronomy 1:32
Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God,
NO BE LIKE J & C
Have this testimony that YOU HAVE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE Lord JESUS
