We need to know the truth. To do this we need to know what truth is. What is truth?
What is truth? This is a fair question today. What is truth? For us who are “born again” christians, the answer seems to be getting more difficult. What is truth? There is one person who tells us in no uncertain terms what truth is. That person is The Lord Jesus Christ. This is what Jesus Christ says
[KJV] [John 17:17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
All that we are left to discern is, “WHAT is thy word?”
As far as English is concerned bible versions fall into 2 main groups:
All the bibles translated up to & including the King James Bible and all the bible versions that have been produced since then.
How do you judge a book and especial one that is a Holy book the Word of God?
It is my mission in like to help you be able to decide for yourself by presenting a few established facts about these two groups of bibles. You should understand from the outset that they do not agree in the overall outcome.
This blog will look at some of the discrepancies and particularly what is missing from the modern group and what has been added to the modern group. This is adventure that I hope that you will enjoy.
The KJV is the ONLY English bible that always shows the difference between the Hebrew Adonai & JHVH. The KJV uses Lord always for Adonai & LORD for KHVH.
Missing in the NIV – 1
This verse is missing in the New International Version of the bile published by Zonderman
1. [KJV] [MAT 17:21] Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
[NIV] MAT 17:20 – 22
[MAT 17:20] He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

[MAT 17:22] When they came together in Galilee, he said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.
This verse is also missing from the NWT – New World Translation. This is bible of the cult called the Jehovah Witnesses.
This is only one of several. I’ll look at the reasons given for this later BUT you should now that every bible in English language published since the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ included this verse.
The King James Bible is very different from modern versions.
Most of us don’t realize how huge the discrepancies are that exist between the King James Bible and all the English bibles that have followed it.
I hope to spend a little time listing some of them. There are several reasons for these discrepancies, and the effect that they may have.

In the English language, there are really just TWO bibles. They are SO different. There is the KING JAMES BIBLE & the rest. The main reason behind the difference is not the caliber of the translators. Although some from the REST teams have had very dubious lifestyles & you not have met with them around the Table of the LORD JESUS. The difference in the origins of the source documents. Can sweet & bitter water flow from the same well or spring? No – this is the answer. You should know if you are relying on a book that is the word of God in your language or merely contains the word of God somewhere within its pages.

Someone was up late making this great sign – so much work has been done outside & inside. We have 2 big jobs to do – 1 make the meeting room larger 2. paint the roof. We are meeting together in the new venue.

we may provide some sort of children’s program during Sunday morning meeting but there are no plans to change MAX7 and its venue on Saturdays.
We need extra transport for Saturday or even a bus 
max7- 15 kids yesterday, two new kids… its all happening, you will be pleased to know noah and the animals got out of the ark safe and sound, a rainbow appeared shortly after.
How awesome must have that first rainbow apeared, it would have been clear and perfectly formed , and very bright!
Next week is the tower of babel , so if you see a large building being erected north east of cowra , its all good , were just doing a “practical”.
